You’ve probably heard many times that our thoughts are so powerful that they can bring about the life we constantly focus about. We think about trouble, pain, suffering and we get more trouble, pain, and suffering. But the reverse is also true. If we think and FEEL abundance, happiness, and prosperity, then that’s exactly what we will get.

We build up the feeling of insecurity or security by how we think. If in our thoughts we constantly fix attention upon sinister expectations of dire events that might happen, the result will be constantly to feel insecure. If this is the first time you’ve heard or read about positive thinking, then this probably sounds pretty strange to you. I know because that was my original feeling as well. I thought, how can my thoughts (positive or negative) affect who I am and what I get in my life? However, after reading his book, listening to his audiobook and taking a look at my life events (positive and negative) I came to realize that this “silly” approach had some validity to it.
After some further digging, I discovered that what Norman was preaching in his book went back thousands of years. It was certainly time tested and proven that the power of thoughts played an enormous role in our life.
Because we’re about “Simple” here I want to leave you with a very simple but effective way to apply the shear power of positive thinking in your life that Norman happened to discuss in his book.
Imagine there’s this problem you’re dealing with and you can’t see it getting any better. Have someone ask you about some things that are good in your life. Such as, you’re free, you have shelter, you have food, you have your health, etc. After you’ve answered them, positively, have the person share with you what you told them. Now, because you can now see that there is good and your problem isn’t such a big deal any more, that your thoughts which were negative have now been switched over to being positive.
It’s simple little things like this that illustrates how the power of positive thinking can truly change your life around in an instant.
