Your Inner Voice

Your voice is found within you.

The entertaining frog can perform the greatest ensembles when nobody is looking but when put on stage it loses its ability.
Have you ever found yourself having trouble speaking in public, performing on stage, or meeting new people, but when you’re in a comfortable setting like by yourself, in the shower, or around a select company, that you feel comfortable and free to be yourself? It’s moments like these where you are zoned in, expressing yourself freely, and with no distractions.

Anyone can do this. The talent you already possess within, so please do not doubt yourself. It’s all mental. As we become more comfortable in our own skin, being yourself becomes true nature.

A quote by Wallace D. Wattles from the Science of Being Great “Here lies the whole secret. You can begin to be great today in your own home, in your store or office, on the street, everywhere; you can begin to make yourself known as great, and you can do this by doing everything you do in a great way. You must put the whole power of your great soul in to every act, however small and commonplace, and so reveal to your family, your friends, and neighbors what you really are.”

Work your way back onto the stage slowly to clear any stage fright you may have.

  1. First, with nobody looking.
  2. Then with a select few.
  3. Add a coach that believes in and supports you.
  4. Add a few more to the audience.
  5. Receive the applause with gratitude.
  6. Introduce judges to view your performance.
  7. Take their constructive criticism to mind, but not to heart by taking it personal. Think of their critique as a means to improve your performance.
  8. Set aside any feelings towards harsh judgment. Take the value and throw out the rest.

Only one person can make you comfortable and that is you. You will perform with precision from lots of practice and exercise. Build the confidence through the act of repetition.

One more important fact to remember: The only true nature of being the best at what you do, is not always the “doing” itself but how you are “being” while “doing” these acts. Those on the outside will see how great you are, by the passion you exude. Pour your heart into your actions.

Believe in yourself, if you don’t, then try again until you do.
