Your Shoes Too Big to be Filled

Are the Shoes of Success Too Big to Fill?

In today’s age, we are amongst many successful people created around the world. It’s astounding how many new successful people are surfacing.

In fact, business owners are going places they have never been in the past. Just in the United States alone, they are experiencing a surge of millionaires being created more than ever.

There are teachers and parents who are taking more of stance to see their children / students become successful. People in corporate jobs who have been successful, but reached a plateau have pursued other opportunities.

These people are far surpassing where they thought they would ever be all because they chose a career path to fulfill their greatest purpose.

Are these people setting a good example or does the shoes of success to fill seem daunting?

There are mixed results. Some believe success is easier than ever while others think there is too much to do to be successful. Which one you fall into all depends on what purpose you want to fulfill.

So that you don’t fall into the trap of believing that you will never reach where you want to go, if there was one thing you can focus on that would move you forward it would be:

Love what you do

For over 10 years I played around in corporate america. Sometimes I liked what I did, sometimes I absolutely hated it. I felt that disconnect with “what on earth am I here to do” and “how does this job fulfill me”.

Each and every time I started a new career during those 10 years, what I was really looking for was something that fulfilled me. What I came to learn was that wasn’t it at all.

It was more about loving what you do. Because when you love what you do, filling the shoes of success is not at all that hard.

The reason is, when you have passion and love to genuinely make a difference, success is inevitable. Yes, there have been successful people who hated what they did but they did get to the point where they had to make a change.

What they went back to was, “do I love what I do” and “am I making a difference”. With the combination of these two, “how does this fulfill me” came easily.

If you’re struggling where to begin, may I suggest reading the Success Comes Easy When You Love What You Do post. It will paint a very good picture for you.

Then after you come to realize how easy success is, your life will become more fulfilled and making a difference.

Do yourself a favor and begin taking action today. You will be glad that you did.

Success to you,

Jerome Ratliff

  • Jerome,

Awesome post! It is all about passion! When you are starting out a business and feel like you are the only one in the world who has your vision and get so overwhelmed, because you think no one else is listening. It is the passion and the love of what you do that get’s you through and succeed. I do not know if success is easy or failure is hard, but I do know that succeeding is all about enjoying what you do, so you do not have to worry about the alternatives.

I always believe that when you love what you’re doing, you will find fulfilment and happiness. This way, you have the driving force to continue and be successful with the path path that you have taken. It takes patience, hardwork, and love for your work to be successful, and be positive always.
