An Ounce of Inspiration for a Lifetime

You’ve heard the old saying, “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for the rest of his life.” ~ Chinese Proverb

Inspiration is the same thing. If we get inspiration from a seminar, an event, a book, or whatever the downfall is that it only stays with us for a day or two. Honestly, it’s almost a waste. But, when we can find out what inspires us deep down instead so that it can fuel ourselves to success, then you know you’ve found the secret to abundance.

So, What Does it Take to Inspire Us for a Lifetime?

All it really takes is an ounce of inspiration.

Take having a family as an example. Think of one thing you enjoy the most which you had done in the past but wish you can do more of. Once you got that one thing, pick up a particular moment [feeling] that struck a chord with you.

This will now become your ounce of inspiration. But in order for this inspiration to last for your lifetime, you *MUST* develop a mental image you intend on rehearsing in your mind at least once a day. Because you’re focusing in on a feeling, you start to trigger your subconscious memory.

And at this point, your subconscious will begin to think it’s real. When it feels real it’s just a matter of time when it will really happen.

So, what do you do when you finally reach your goal/dream?

You create another ounce of inspiration. 😉

Success to you,

  1. Hi Jerome,

    A great reminder here.

I’ve found the more that I accomplish the more I’m inspired. I feel the thrill of having completed something, and am inspired to do more, help more, be more. Keep adding up those ounces and eventually you hit critical mass. Life becomes one big moment of inspiration.

    Thanks for sharing!
